Metro Auto Electronics Training Institute is not your ordinary school, and the results of a "Metro Education" are quite extraordinary.

While like any school, there are desks, books, tests and studying, there is a big difference at Metro; the learning and instruction are truly "hands-on". Our philosophy focuses on doing and trying with careful direction and supervision. In fact approximately 70% of your training will be "hands-on" and the remainder will be theory and general understanding of electronics with a definite emphasis on how it relates to auto electronics. It's a philosophy and approach that really delivers.
In fact we believe so strongly in this method that we provide clips. These are cut-away cars exposing the dashboards and firewalls enabling students to do actual installations and practice. Metro is the only school on the East Coast offering these special cars.

Classes Offered

The course of study leading to the Installer designation includes both theoretical and practical knowledge. Each student who successfully completes the course will have demonstrated an acceptable level of competency in the areas of basic electrical theory, applied electrical knowledge for automotive systems, fundamental know how and techniques for installation of various audio, security, and cellular mobile telephone devices, as well as an acceptable level of knowledge of practical shop safety which encompasses the use of all tools necessary for task completion.
The primary goal of METRO AUTO ELECTRONICS TRAINING INSTITUTE is to produce graduates who evidence the highest possible degree of technical and professional competence in the field of mobile electronic product installation. The course of study leading to the fabrication certificate includes both design theory and supervised hands on construction. Each student who successfully completes the course will have demonstrated an acceptable level of competency in the areas of basic design, all basic fabrication techniques discussed, and shop safety which encompasses the use of all tools necessary for task completion through the fourteen day program.
